“Thank you for doing such a great job at our wedding! Everyone raved about you guys and quite a few people specifically mentioned the “cake song” which unfortunately John and I missed! We got quite a few comments along the lines of “Best wedding band I’ve ever heard.” Also, please pass along our thanks to the rest of your band and the female vocalist in particular. Lots of people commented on how great she was. I thought one of the best parts was watching her reatctions to your performance. We’re looking forward to seeing you play around town in the future!”

And I know several folks took your cards, so maybe you’ll be booked again in this area soon. - Lauren (Dividend Capital/Black Creek Capital- Denver, Co.)
“Lauren and I just returned from our honeymoon and watned to send you a quick thank you for such an incredible performance at our wedding at the Ritz Carlton in Beaver Creek. We snuck out before you were done that evening, so we couldn’t thank you in person. The ceremony music and timing was absolutely perfect. Your bands ability to lear the Big and Rich song for the first dance was also asesome: it sounded just like the real thing. The rest of the evening couldn’t have been better. I can’t tell you how many compliments we got that night…and still continue to get about the music. Everyone was blown away by your talents and song selection;it was exactly waht we were hoping for. We will definitelly keep you in mind for any upcmong events down here in Denver. Thanks again… we really appreciate everything. I doubt you need it, but you are more than welcome to use my name as a reference if anyone asks for one.”
- Christopher M. Davis
“Thanks so much for playing at our wedding! Jesse and I had a fabulous time and all of our guest have been commenting about how great the band was! It was really special to have you play at the cocktail hour, at dinner AND for the dancing! Terrific job! Thanks so much for letting me settle up with you later. I’m sorry it happened that way. As soon as you mentioned it, my purse (with my checkbook) had just been packed away in the getaway car and I was trusting I could mail it to you. Holding up my end of the bargain, I am mailing this to you as soon as I could! Thanks so much for trusting me to do so. Thanks again for completing the perfect event for us. It couldn’t have been any better!

The Jonny Mogambo Band – a Denver wedding band – rocks the house.
Jonny_Mogambo_Band Are you planning a wedding in the Denver area? And have yet to book a wedding band? I just came across this article currently being featured on The Denver Daily News.
Apparently, the Jonny Mogambo Band is the cat’s meow for Denver-area wedding bands. A Denver Daily News employee attended the recent wedding for the publication’s Assistant Editor Peter Marcus and his wife, Barbara. They thought that the Jonny Mogambo Band “rocked the house.”
In the music industry, wedding bands are typically considered cheesy and good talent is tough to find.
But on occasion, a group like the Jonny Mogambo Band plays a wedding reception and gets everyone — including the reclusive uncle — out on the dance floor to shake their stuff, elevating the festivities to a whole different level. It doesn’t hurt that Mogambo and his talented backing band aren’t just a wedding and private party band; the legitimate talents play original music, too.
However, when it came a wedding in Breckenridge earlier this month, Mogambo gave attendees exactly what they wanted, combing Johnny Cash, Talking Heads and Little Richard’s “Tutti Frutti,” among many other bands and songs.
“I think we play a different array of music and we play it well,” said Mogambo. “We’re not anywhere close to a cheesy wedding band … People appreciate having a band that does a large amount of stuff and also has some originals and originality to them.”- The Denver Daily News – August 9, 2009.

Vail Society: Ultimate Halloween Gala Rocks the Ritz
Betty Ann Woodland
VAIL VALLEY, Colorado — Known for being “the” Halloween bash in the Vail Valley, the Ultimate Halloween Gala proved to be a ghoulish good time Friday evening at the Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch. The theme, a Night at the Opera, fit the elegant venue. Partygoers attending this event tend to go all out in designing their costumes and this year was no exception. There are definitely some creative diehards who put a lot of time, energy and money into their get-ups. I love to see the enthusiasm and verve of some of the performance artists who get into the personas of their characters. Some stay in character all night. All that crazy making is enough to make you want to join in on the creativity. There is still time for a good costume.
The Jonny Mogambo Band kept the crowd hopping into the night dressed as scary monsters themselves. Jonny and the boys did a great job of rocking the house. You can always spot Sarah Millett out there cutting a rug and on Friday a posse of dark angels surrounded her.
